WA Lege Day 176: The final day, almost for sure
OLYMPIA — The House has started Day 176 of the 2015 legislative session, which is also expected to be the last day of the session.
They have a fairly short agenda: pass the list of transportation projects that will use the money from the 11.9 cent gasoline tax approved last week. Pass the authority to sell bonds to pay for some of those projects. Vote on the two-year delay to the high school biology assessment test passed by the Senate on Thursday.
When that’s done, they have a resolution to move all the bills that haven’t passed back to their house of origin.
And a resolution to adjourn sine die (which is Latin for “that’s all, folks”)
Those last two must go over to the Senate, which is on a reduced crew today.
All of this should be done by sometime this afternoon. Barring some hiccup that no one is expecting.
Of course, no one expected that hiccup last Tuesday night/Wednesday morning which delayed all this for an extra week. So stay tuned for updates.
