Sho-Con: NW Culture Not Distinctive
Shoshone Conservative
(RE:
Letter: No place for Confederate flag
): The Pacific Northwest is relatively “new.” We don’t really have a
distinctive culture, accent, cuisine, etc. Heck, IDAHO doesn’t even have a unique culture — there’s vast differences between North Idaho, Eastern Idaho, and Southwestern Idaho, and ALL of them are different from places like Seattle or Portland. We’re pretty much just a melting pot, maybe more like a “stew,” of people from all over the country.
Question: Do you agree/disagree that the Pacific Northwest doesn’t have a distinctive culture, accent, cuisine, etc?
