G ov. C.L. “Butch” Otter has some explaining to do. The Associated Press reported this week that Otter knew federal officials had stopped funding the state’s failed broadband education program but kept lawmakers in the dark for months. Conveniently for Otter, he kept this information quiet on Election Day, and waited to tell the Legislature when the session started more than a month later, according to a letter obtained by the AP.
