Vote yes for libraries

Libraries are one of a community’s most valuable assets. On Aug. 4, here is what a yes vote will do for all of us:

A new library next to Balfour Park on Sprague Avenue to better accommodate the over 1,000 people per day who use the Main and Pines library; a smaller facility in the fast-growing Veradale/Greenacres area; a remodel and expansion of the Argonne/Millwood facility; and the current Main Avenue library will be repurposed into a technology center for community use (vital for research, business, job searches and student needs).

And, just to name a few more benefits, you will have access not only to books and periodicals but to e-books, and other digital media, especially important to families with limited budgets.

Please vote yes Aug. 4 because good libraries, like good schools, really do change lives and are a strong foundation for a vibrant community.
