Simple Mind: What? Me Worry?

In her post today, Cis/Simple Mind explains why Seasoned Citizens, in general, are a happy lot because they realize that the politicans don’t care, at the national and state level. And that they are hard pressed to name their local elected officials. Seasoned Citizens, Cis posts, “Those of us over 60 and especially over 70,finally figured it out … NO ONE REALLY GIVES A RAT … about any (of) the average person’s problems. Question: I’m still personally passionate about religion and politics. But I notice that I enjoy less & less arguing about divisive subjects, like politics and religion. I agree with Cis that the Average Joe & Jane has little to no say at the state and federal levels. Thoughts?
