Church recognizes divorce

I would like to correct the July 6 letter written by Tim Rolfe on the Catholic Church’s rulings on divorce.

The Catholic Church does recognize divorce. Also, if you are willing to present your case (history of marriage and reasons for divorce) to a tribunal of the diocese, a decision could be made on whether you can marry again in the Catholic Church.

I went through this process and am happily remarried in the Catholic Church.
