Athol Teen Presumed Drowned

A 16-year-old Athol boy is believed to have drowned after he fell out of a boat on Lake Coeur d’Alene Tuesday evening. Reginald J. Nault was not wearing a personal floatation device and could not be located. Two other boys, also 16, were in the boat when Nault either jumped or fell over board. Emergency units responded to the area north of Arrow Point around 6 p.m., where the average water depth is around 130 feet. Because of the lack of a precise location and water depth, no dives were initiated by the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office. Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the accident/SR. More here.
