Hump Day Wild Card — 7.22.15

You’ve heard — and maybe even viewed (I have) — the “Attack of the Killer Tomatoes,” right. Well, I’ve encountered the Attack of the Tomatillos. My son-in-law Okie Doke talked me into growing tomatillos with the thought that I’d make salsa from them (along with the cilantro & hot peppers planted elsewhere). Now, the tomatillos have taken over. They’re growing like weeds and the pods are ripening. But the hot peppers aren’t keeping up. At all. Any day, I expect the tomatillos to work their way off the vines and attack. Stay tuned. Here’s today’s Wild Card …
