Also: A vigil for Reggie Nault will be held from 7 to 9 this evening at the Coeur d’Alene High field. Glow sticks will be used in the memorial instead of candles, due to dry weather conditions.

Former Coeur d’Alene High baseball coach Nick Rook offers this statement to Huckleberries Online re: Reginald J. Nault, the 16YO Athol teen presumed drowned in a boating tragedy Tuesday evening . As a sophomore this spring, Nault was the starting catcher for Rook’s CHS Viking baseball team:

“Reggie was a uniquely gifted young man, not just physical skill set.  He craved to be apart of a tightly knit group, which he was.  He was a big time competitor on the field but more importantly he was a fiercely loyal friend and teammate.  Losing Reggie leaves a gapping hole my heart and in the hearts of all who knew him.  He was a blessing to be around, He will be sorely missed.”
