Drive Through?

As I biked to work today (that’s right, 4 of 5 days this week), I noticed the vehicles piled up at the coffee hut in front of Runge’s — 4 on one side, 6 on the other. I figured the guy in the pickup with the boxer in back was going to wait a long time. He was last in line. I don’t like drive throughs. I avoid them at all costs, unless Mrs. O is riding shotgun. She likes them. So I mutter and defer. Left on my own, I always — always — parked the vehicle at a fast food joint or coffee shop and order at the counter. I figure it saves gas. And I’m more aware of time passing as the engine idles. How about you?

Question: Do you prefer drive-throughs? Or do you order at a counter when given the choice?
