Poll: Rarely Pick Huckleberries

• Monday Poll: For all the hullabaloo about huckleberries in North Idaho, most of Hucks Nation hasn’t picked a huckleberry in a last 10 years, including more than 28% who have never picked huckleberries. Less than 25% of Hucks Nation has picked a huckleberry in the last 2 years. The poll shows: 61 of 217 respondents (28.11%) have never picked huckleberries; 56 (25.81%) haven’t picked in more than 10 years; 32 (14.75%) have picked in last 2 to 5 years; 28 (12.9%) picked last year; 25 (11.52%) picked his year; and 15 (6.91%) picked 5-10 years ago.
