Teachers have reasonable goals

As professional educators, we are very aware of the importance of a strong public school system, and we know that it depends on talented and effective teachers. In order to fulfill their missions, Spokane’s schools need smaller classes, sufficient funding so teachers and aides do not buy essential supplies with their own money, and appropriate salaries to attract, keep and reward Spokane’s dedicated and effective teachers.

These are reasonable goals and we, as history professors at Gonzaga University, support the teachers who have not been able to achieve them without job action.
