Cinder the bear cub, fully recovered, to be released back into the wild today

Here’s a news item from the Associated Press: SEATTLE (AP) — It’s been a long road back to health for the bear cub Cinder who was found badly burned after last summer’s Carlton Complex wildfire in north-central Washington. She was found under a horse trailer after the fire, her paws so badly burned she was pulling herself along by her elbows. Now healed after stints at a California wildlife center and the Idaho Black Bear Rehabilitation center near Boise, she weighs about 125 pounds. KING-TV of Seattle reports ( http://is.gd/sDzrUa ) that Washington state Fish and Wildlife officers plan to release Cinder on Wednesday near Wenatchee, Washington. She’ll be released with a buddy, a male cub she befriended in rehab. Washington wildlife officials say she’s healthy and looks great.
