Pachyderms To Hear Sims, Cheatham

State Rep. Kathy Sims, R-Coeur d’Alene, will be explaining her stedfast opposition to the child support enforcement bill from noon to 1 p.m. Friday to the Panhandle Pachyderm Club, which meets at Templins Red Lion in Post Falls. Sims, a Coeur d’Alene Republican, and freshman legislator Don Cheatham, R-Post Falls, will discuss the special session on child support legislation at that time. Meanwhile, Post Falls Mayor Ron Jacobson will address the North Idaho Pachyderm Club, which meets at 7 a.m. Fridays at IHOP in Coeur d’Alene.

Question: It’s nice that Sims and Cheatham are explaining their votes against the child support bill now to the Republican choir because they will have to explain those inexplicable votes to the general public all next year if they seek re-election. Thoughts?
