KCSO Confiscates 22lbs Of Drugs During Stop

Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office news release:

At about 3:30 this morning, Kootenai County Sheriff’s dispatch received a call of a possible intoxicated driver traveling eastbound on I-90 near milepost 14 (15th Street/CdA). The caller told dispatch that the vehicle was all over the road. A Kootenai County Sheriff’s deputy found the vehicle still traveling eastbound near milepost 24 and stopped it for failing to maintain its lane of travel. Upon contact with the female driver and male passenger, the deputy smelled the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. Through his contact, deputies were able to locate more than twenty-two pounds of marijuana and later found the female had several grams of heroin hidden on her person.
The female was identified as Domonique R. Adams-Swanson, 39, of Seattle. She was arrested for driving while suspended, trafficking in marijuana, trafficking in heroin and possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. The male was identified as Sylvester G. Byrd, 63, of Tukwila, Wash. He was arrested for trafficking in marijuana and trafficking in heroin.
