Tuning out national anthem

Amen to what Bill Tibbits said (May 30) about our national anthem. I have been to too many NASCAR races, baseball games and other events, and it drives me nuts to listen to people trying to sing the song.

When watching on TV, if I can’t stand it, I mute it until it is over. The best version I heard was at a Martinsville NASCAR race. The kids of the drivers sang it.
