Long pause on warming
William Pennell’s opinion (May 30) that action against global warming can’t wait seems to be a contradiction of science and common sense. An article in the Whistleblower, published by World Net Daily and authored by Christopher Monckton, brings to light that the Remote Sensing Systems satellite has recorded no global warming for 18 years.
He says this pause in global warming is the longest continuous period without any global warming since the satellites first watched in 1979, and can be confirmed by visiting the RSS website. This is in spite of a continuing, rapid increase in atmospheric carbon dioxide concentration.
RSS Senior Research Scientist Carl Mears refers to us who are slow to believe as denialists, yet it seems he is in denial of his own scientific data, with many explanations or excuses that you can read on the RSS website.
Are respected scientists not sharing the truth, and is there real reason for alarm enough to bankrupt businesses and nations to meet impossible environmental standards and government regulations?
