D-Day coverage lacking

I am writing to totally agree with Murray Johnson (June 10). I, too, looked for articles in the paper remembering D-Day and was disappointed to find exactly nothing until the next day, and that was about the French response.

Sometimes I am surprised at the stories that make front page news. Many times the stories seem like they should be on the feature page or today page, not above the front-page fold. D-Day is a big part of our history. It was part of so many lives, and its memory deserved better representation. People still do care.
