Third-party solution to Clinton
A number of years ago, I was given a problem in which you were supposed to connect a series of dots to form a square with two crossed lines. You were neither allowed to lift the pencil nor cross any of the lines. None of us were able to solve it. Our instructor finally showed us that the only way to solve this was by forming large triangles that went outside of the figure’s perimeter.
Some of today’s problems could be solved if we learn to “think outside the box.” For instance; Leslie Dewan and Mark Massie are setting up a molten salt reactor that will allow 96 percent of a fuel rod to be used, instead of the 7 percent in conventional heavy-water reactors. Larry Baxter freezes carbon dioxide out of smokestacks at one-quarter the cost of other scrubbing methods. Too bad we can’t figure out a cheap way to send it to Mars.
As of now, there are a dozen Republicans who have announced their candidacies. None of them have a ghost of a chance. Unless we elect a third party candidate, we will almost certainly be stuck with Hillary Clinton for the next four years.
