• 5:29 p.m. Older male shouldering cross appears to be suffering, according to 911 caller, as he walks along H53/McGuire Road, Hauser. Officer responds to dispatch call. He should be tired, “It’s hot out here.”
• 5:09 p.m. ISP officer checking panhandler @ Hayden Walmart, H95/Honeysuckle Ave.
• 4:56 p.m. Firefighters concerned w/smoke over nearby roads from grass fire, @ H41/H54 (near Spirit Lake).
• 4:53 p.m. Ambulance needed to transport patient from Cedar Street/Post Falls to Hospice House.
• 4:35 p.m. KHQ tweet: “10-12 acre brush fire off of hwy 54 and 41. 0% contained. No structures threatened at this time.”
• 4:33 p.m. ISP officer reports dead deer along I-90/MP 19.5 (Yellowstone Trail underpass).

• 3:48 p.m. Ambulance on standby for grass fire, off H41/H54 (near Spirit Lake).
• 3:39 p.m. Firefighter reports 2nd blaze starting near Spirit Lake area fire.
• 3:32 p.m. Firefighter reports that the Spirit Lake area blaze is “getting away from us.” A helicopter is in use, battling the fire. A fire department leader cautions firefighters several times to put safety first.
• 3:03 p.m. 2-acre, slow-moving grass fire reported 1/2 mile west of H41/H54 (Spirit Lake area).
