Ignite CdA Backs 2nd Resort Tower

The board of Ignite CdA (Lake City Development Corp) endorsed a proposal by Hagadone Hospitality to build a second hotel tower over Front Avenue and the western half of the resort shopping mall. Included in the vote was endorsement of the city vacating rights to Front Avenue. The vote wasn’t unanimous. Two board members, Deanna Goodlander and David Patzer, supported the project but opposed the motion because the public doesn’t get any compensation for losing the air rights over Front Ave. You can read the minutes of the discussion here.
