Pickleball Tournament Set For McEuen Park

Deemed to be the fastest growing sport in the U.S., pickleball is attracting lots of interest in Coeur d’Alene—and an upcoming tournament is expected to boost local awareness of the sport, a cross between tennis, badminton and ping pong. The tournament, planned for August 28-30 at Cherry Hill Park on 15th Street, has already attracted about 135 players and organizers are expecting 200 or so to participate in the First Annual Coeur d’Alene Summer Pickleball Classic Tournament/ Coeur d’Alene Today .
