376 Ironman Entries Didn’t Finish
Ironman officials said twice the average amount of competitors did not finish Sunday’s race in Coeur d’Alene. Officials said 376 athletes did not finish the race. Health officials at Kootenai Health said eight athletes had to be taken to the hospital due to the heat. Temperatures on Sunday reached the triple digits. Health crews said only two of those people were admitted. Ironman officials said 1,300 people finished the swim, bike and marathon/Taylor Viydo, KREM. More here.
