City leaders in Coeur d’Alene said the signature piece of art at McEuen Park is not as signature as they had hoped. The $100,000 arch into the park was supposed to light up the entrance way and change colors. It is called ‘Under the Rainbow.’ It does not light up as much as city leaders had hoped. “It doesn’t have that dramatic effect they had hoped for,” said Parks and Recreation Director Steve Anthony. City leaders said the city is now looking at ways to enhance the piece/ KREM2 . More here .
Question: Should the city admit defeat, absorb the loss & find a new art piece to welcome visitors to McEuen Park?
