Vote yes for CdA school levy
On March 10, we voters have a chance to improve Coeur d’Alene public schools. We won’t have another opportunity for two more years. This levy gives us the opportunity to reduce the existing teacher-to-student ratio because the district is committed to using the additional levy dollars to hire additional classroom teachers.
To date, there are 25 kindergartners in our youngest daughter’s class, and 28 students in my eldest daughter’s second grade class. As classroom volunteers, we see the challenge teachers face to effectively interact with each of their students.
The populations of Coeur d’Alene and Hayden are growing, and new neighborhoods and apartment complexes are being built. As stewards of our community, we should invest in keeping class sizes manageable so that children can receive personal attention from their teachers, have the ability to ask questions and learn at their own pace.
Please join us in voting yes for Coeur d’Alene School District’s maintenance and operations levy.
