Raul: GOP Leadership Caved In

Marty Trillhaase’s editorial Sunday trivializes President Obama’s assault on the Constitution. Left unchecked, the president’s attempt to undo U.S. immigration law risks upsetting the foundation of our republic. The politicians “going with the flow” are those who continue to support the same tired policies and flawed strategies that saddle us with a broken immigration system and an $18 trillion debt. Last week, 75 Republicans pressured by our leadership, and a weak-kneed Senate, joined 182 Democrats in abandoning a provision blocking the president’s executive actions in the Fiscal 2015 Department of Homeland Security spending bill.
