Testing, Testing …
We have another election today to test the ability of our now duly elected Kootenai County clerk to report votes in a timely manner. In his
two elections as an appointed clerk, Jim Brannon has produced the election results, um, somewhat late. In the old days, the boo-birds who hounded Democratic clerk Dan English out of office would have been scuh-reaming bloody murder and looking for conspiracies as a result of the slow voter tabulation. But we’ve heard nary a peep out of the usual suspects re: the late tabulations, unless it is to say that it’s more important to get the count right no matter how long it takes. Well, I’m optimistic that Jim will produce the numbers from the levies and/or bonds from the the 4 Kootenai County school districts in a timely fashion tonight. But not optimistic enough to put money down on it.
Question: If I predicted that final election results for all four Kootenai County school districts will be in by 10:30 a.m., would you take the over or under?
