Instant racing hearing resumes; no vote planned tonight

The House State Affairs Committee has resumed its hearing on SB 1011, the bill to ban instant racing in Idaho, in the Lincoln Auditorium this afternoon; you can watch live here . However, before it started, Chairman Tom Loertscher, R-Iona, said there will be no committee vote on the bill tonight. “We’re not going to get through all the testimony,” Loertscher said, noting that the panel only heard from five people in two and a half hours this morning. “And even if we do, we’ll think on it.”

The hearing is scheduled to continue Thursday morning at 8 a.m.
