Sis: Why I Cling To My Pseudonym

Sisyphus: “Jon Alexander, the (opinion) editor of the Times News, had the tires slashed on his automobile and motorcycle this weekend. While Republicans cling tightly to their guns and Bibles here, the rest of us cling tightly to our pseudonyms.”

DFO: I contacted Jon Alexander via email. He has written some swell, moderate editorials in the last few weeks before his departure to another newspaper. But he think the tire slasing was random and not targeted. In my days as editor of the Kalispell Daily Inter Lake (Montana), I had all four tires of my VW Rabbit slashed while Mrs. O & I attended a concert of Barbershop Quartets. It was random since the punks that did it (and they were caught) also slashed tires of a dozen or so more vehicles. They didn’t have money, of course. So I had to pay for new tires.
