Dix: Leave Arfee Shooter Alone

Dix (RE: City settles with Arfee owner for $80,000 ): “I think the mayor did the right thing and lets move on. For all those who want to judge the officer I suggest you walk a mile in their shoes. We were not there, we do not know the emotions involved. It sure is easy to spout off when you have never worn the shield.”

DFO: I agree with Dix on this one. The officer who shot Arfee last summer made a mistake. I doubt that he’ll make the same one again. He’s paid a heavy price in terms of public opinion and peer status. It’s time to move on. Thoughts?
