Park work shows priorities

“The first of many multimillion-dollar projects to remake Riverfront Park launches this week …” (“Time To Design”), March 10, page one.

The first of many? Horrors! How many millions of our taxes will that be total, if this is but the first?

At the same time, countless human beings, fellow citizens along with you and me in this great city, are homeless and hungry and many more are barely eking out a living at or below the poverty line.

Does anyone besides me think there is something terribly wrong with this picture? Something desperately wrong? Does anybody care?
