Ex-WHS Teacher Faces Sex Charges

A former Wallace High School teacher was arrested in Bullhead City, Arizona for engaging in illegal conduct with several students. Bullhead City Police arrested Joseph James Pagel, 33, on Friday, March 13th when a 17-year-old Mohave High School (MHS) student told school officials Pagel had been sending explicit text messages and nude photos to her. Pagel, now in his second year at MHS, worked as a Wallace High School (WHS) teacher from 2008 to 2013. An incident report filed by the Shoshone County Sheriff’s Office in June 2010 reveals that during his time at WHS, Pagel had a sexual relationship with a then 18-year-old student/Stevee Chapman, KXLY.
