Along The Waterfront …

If you’re clinging to the faulty notion that the McEuen Park makeover was a bad idea, you need to drive down to the park sometime this week during a sun-shiny day. Walking partner Greg Lee & I encountered all kinds of activity in the greenspace once hogged by 2 softball fields and the American Legion diamond. Dog park was in use. Tennis courts were in use. Ditto for the outdoors basketball courts and Avista Pavilion picnic space. However, the star of the day — as on almost any day now — was the children’s play area. Kids were all over the place. I’m beginning to wonder whether the powers that be shouldn’t have constructed an even larger children’s playground.
