60 Is The New 30?

In commenting on the article, “Biking Cross Country for a cause,” Rhodetrip comments: “Avid mountain biker I am. Good for Gayle. 60 is the new 30.” As someone who has been on the wrong side of 60 for 5 years, I’ve often wondered about that statement. Or one similar, 60 is the new 40. I know what it’s suppose to mean. 60YOs are living life more to the fullest today than their parents did. But do you really believe the meme?
