Ex-Employee Sues CdA Red Robin
Stacie Ward was fired from her position as the lead bartender and a certified trainer in October 2012 after questioning the hiring practices of the restaurant, specifically in regards to people of color, according to a lawsuit filed in US District Court for the District of Idaho Tuesday. At the time, Ward had been with the company for more than 11 years and had worked in Red Robin restaurants from Las Vegas to Bellingham. She was working at the Spokane Valley restaurant in 2007 when Ward was asked to help open a new franchise in Coeur d’Alene. While working at the Coeur d’Alene restaurant, Ward says one African-American employee was fired for wearing headphones, a minor infraction/ Rob Kauder , KXLY. More here .
