Peg Social Security at $15 an hour

It’s amazing how the government is all for raising the minimum wage to $15 an hour, while not caring about taking care of its older, retired workers. They use one-sided numbers to tell us we don’t need a Social Security raise, and use other numbers to tell us the minimum wage needs to be raised.

If you’re not making $15 an hour, you can’t live. If you’re on Social Security, the cost of living hasn’t gone up, so you don’t need a raise. I wonder how many of these politicians have been to a store lately, or paid for their health or car insurance.

Guess what Mr./Mrs. Politician? I’m a senior citizen not making $15 an hour on Social Security, and I do vote. I guess as a politician, not a civil servant, you’re very well taken care of, and really don’t care. I suppose I can get a job at Walmart or McDonald’s at $15 an hour to supplement my shrinking Social Security.
