Schindelbeck attack appalls Edinger

The following letter was sent to Huckleberries Online by the campaign to elect incumbent Coeur d’Alene Councilman Ron Edinger:

On Friday, October 30, 2015, the Edinger Family received one of Toby Schindelbeck’s postcard mailings that included the following so called fact: ”Edinger FAILED to show up to 9 out of 21 meetings from May 2014 to February 2015; How can Edinger do his job if he can’t show up to nearly half of these City Council meetings?”

Ron’s Campaign Committee members are appalled, dismayed and shocked to read this attack from Toby Schindelbeck. How could Mr. Schindelbeck either be so uninformed or even worse void of any sympathy or compassion for Ron who during much of 2014 was in critical condition following a major surgery for a life threatening aneurism that was followed by serious complications. Shortly after the surgery, his wife Nancy represented Ron by attending a local banquet attended by 500 guests reporting the critical condition. Ron’s serious illness was public knowledge.

Thanks to the work of a remarkable medical staff at Kootenai Health and the prayers of hundreds of his friends in the Coeur d’Alene region, Ron is well and back at his Coeur d’Alene City Council duties with renewed energy.

During Ron’s 46 years as an elected Coeur d’Alene official, he has rarely missed a Coeur d’Alene City Council meeting other than during this major illness.

Time and again during this campaign Ron’s opponent has been proven in error regarding Ron such as to the partisan charge.
