Pot articles disgusting
Is anyone else feeling the disgust I feel when opening the newspaper lately, and am regaled with articles about: the increase in marijuana use since it was legalized; all the “hows” you can use to get a quicker high and the success of marijuana retail stores and growers?
On page 6 of the Oct. 17 Spokesman-Review there is a glowing picture of a Washington State University student with his drug paraphernalia (probably in his dorm room) telling us all about how to get really high faster; a seeming goal of many users. I wonder what kind of student he is. Those we used to call “potheads,” not a complimentary term, are now being memorialized for being heavy users.
Remember when the very first retail buyer got space in the headlines and was repeatedly reported on? Now, we have to be educated on how it is being used most effectively by the college crowd. You are right when you may assume that I was dubious about it being legalized if used in moderation. That might be acceptable, but it looks like “moderation” is not what these users are after. They are at least as much a danger to society as a total drunk.
