Whither goeth Christie?

Most of us here are fans of Sgt. Christie Wood — and her top-notch community work as spokeswoman for the Coeur d’Alene Police Department (as well as her role as chairman of the NIC board and work with the Kootenai County Task Force on Human Relations). Christie announced yesterday that she’s retiring from police work next month. Which raises a question from a colleague: Wouldn’t Christie be a superb Coeur d’Alene councilwoman? She would be. Christie intends to stay active. And she’s promised to post more on Huckleberries Online. So here’s the question:

Question: What would you like to see Christie do for the community — and herself — in retirement?
