‘Conservatives’ open spigot
Regarding “GOP approves budget deal (Oct. 29)”: Your conservative Republican readers must have been completely dismayed by that article. This budget deal struck by former Speaker John Boehner includes raising the debt ceiling through March of 2017. The 2011 agreement to cut federal government spending yearly until 2021 (called sequestration) was suspended and the governmental cuts that were made since 2011 were almost entirely rolled back.
This approved federal government budget spends $80 billion more over two years than last year’s federal budget. These so-called conservative Republicans can’t wait to bust the budget and increase the deficits and national debt. They talk fiscal conservatism, reducing the size and scope of the federal government, and reducing the $18 trillion national debt. What they actually do is renege on all of their principles and values and drastically increase government. These turncoat conservatives are nothing more than closest liberals. They are going on a spending spree.
There is a political party that your conservative Republican readers can turn to and that is that Libertarian Party; a political party that will not stab you in the back.
