NRA is a ‘model’
After reading all the National Rifle Association-is-good letters in The Spokesman-Review, I am taking a hint and forming the National Car Drivers Association. My organization will be opposed to any regulation of cars, or the driving of them.
We don’t need any new car regulations; we just need the government to enforce the regulations they have. We will oppose the police and government that restrict our access to driving, or control how we do it. We certainly will oppose car licensing and registration.
We will oppose any technology that restricts our freedom to drive as we desire like those awful seat belts and exploding air bags. We in particular will follow the NRA opposition to smart guns by opposing smart-car technology like blind spot detection and lane-keeping assistance.
Just imagine yourself in a firefight with bad guys and not being able to give your spare gun to your buddy because the smart gun will only fire in your hands. When some liberal do-gooder has a family member killed in a car crash, we will defend the driver of a monster truck that crushed the victim. Thanks, NRA, for being my model organization.
