Nice paid leave for officers

Could someone please explain to me why two police officers who are under investigation for an alleged

sexual assault are on leave with pay? It appears to me they have been awarded with a paid vacation until their innocence is proven or they are found guilty, and now the Police Guild leader is off with pay as a person of interest.

I don’t know what’s going on in the Spokane Police Department, but it needs to get fixed before Spokane goes bankrupt.
