Sheriff: Killing was self defense

The Bonner County Sheriff released the identity of the man shot and killed during a domestic battery on Tuesday at around 11:00 p.m. Scott Spangler, 44 from Priest River, was killed from gunshot wound. The Bonner Co. Sheriff confirmed Spangler was fatally shot by his wife in self-defense during a dispute the two were having at the 4800 block of Spirit Lake Cutoff Road. When officers responded to a 911  call, the woman and a child had fled the scene. Spangler was already dead according to deputies.
