Lawyer: URD, Tech Market can deal

An attorney firm in Boise has counseled ignite cda that it has the authority, under Idaho urban renewal laws, to offer money for rent, as well as to pay for equipment, for a proposed Coeur d’Alene Tech Market at Riverstone . The Tech Market asked the urban renewal agency for $90,000 annually for rent and an additional one-time grant of $100,000 to pay for equipment. In a letter to ignite cda today, Ryan Armbruster of Elam & Burke said: “We believe Ignite could participate in a properly structured ignitiative.” The Tech Market is the idea of the University of Idaho, Coeur d’Alene entrepreneur organization Innovation Collective, and Coeur d’Alene nonprofit Gizmo-cda. Earlier this week, the partners announced they had stepped away from plans to locate their facility at Riverstone .
