Dressgate: CdA trustees review strapless gowns
From the Facebook wall of Chairman Christa Hazel of the Coeur d’Alene School Board:
“Last night, the CdA School Board considered a specific dress code exception for semi formal/formal events that would allow for strapless/spaghetti strap formal attire. This proposal sailed through first reading and will be voted on next month. The public can weigh in on this topic during the next 30 days with comments. Obviously, I support the amendment. (Below - circa early 90’s, CdA HS Homecomings & Proms).”
- Here’s the text of change under consideration: “For formal/semi-formal events, dresses with spaghetti straps and/or strapless dresses shall be allowed while remaining policy provisions (see supra) will be enforced.”
- Here’s the way the text will read if the trustees OK the change next month.
Question: Agree/disagree with Coeur d’Alene School Board decision?
