Nic: Edinger better than alternative

Nic (RE: St. Joe: Time for Ednger to go ): Ron has served long enough. It really is time for him to pass the torch off to someone else. However, as much as I would love to see him replaced by someone new, I do not want that to happen at the expense of good governance. If his challenger was someone who had the same dedication to Cd’A, who had the same passion for doing what’s best for this community, who had the same commitment to represent all citizens — including those with differing political and religious views, I’d vote for that person.

Toby Schindelback is not that person.

Even if Ron was legally deaf, he’d still be a better option than the opportunistic meat-head Toby. Even if Ron was demonstrably senile, he’d still be a better option than white-flight Toby. Even if Ron was suffering from Parkinson’s or Alzheimer’s, he’d still be a better option than the recent transplant wanting to turn our beautiful burg into a jingoistic, xenophobic, regressive, paranoid utopia. For all of Ron’s faults, his head and heart are in the right place. Can’t say the same for Chico’s least wanted.
