Friday’s openings: Jobs, witches for everyone
Better late than … (complete the cliche). Here are the week’s mainstream releases:
“Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension” : More thrills and chills provided by spirits from the beyond. Candid Casper Camera.
“Rock the Kasbah” : Hoping to revamp his career, a jaded music promoter discovers an Afghan singer and takes her to Kabul to compete in the TV show Afghan Star. Two words: Bill Murray.
“Steve Jobs” : The late Apple founder, defined yet again, this time by director Danny Boyle and actor Michael Fassbender. Think Different.
“The Last Witch Hunter” : Vin Diesel is the titular hero, treating this genre fantasy as if it were “Hamlet.” Double bubble toil and trouble.
That’s it. So go see a movie. Go now.
