Protect Snake River sams

I am amazed by the lack of response from those this area that support the dams on the Snake River. After hearing from Lt. Col. Timothy Vail, commander, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Walla Walla, about the facts, we need to support our assets.

The opposition keeps saying “save the fish.” We have had record fish runs for years. The reservoirs created for irrigation, electricity, transportation, recreation, fire protection and drought are priceless. Hydropower is clean and renewable; ask the 675,000 homes that use it annually.

Opinions from out of the area may take over if we don’t stand up and take action by voicing our opinion as loudly as the loud few that wish to push their will on our resources. We know what the dams have done and can provide for us, do you really want to see what happens if they are breached? Common sense and facts should not be ignored.
