Obama stirred the pot
President Obama has nobody but himself to blame for the strident opposition he faced when he visited Roseburg, Ore.
Before the victims’ bodies were even cold, he mounted his bully pulpit. He insisted that mass shootings should be politicized, and scolded America for not being more like Great Britain and Australia. Had he not done so, his visit to the victims in Roseburg would more likely have been received with the respect of the entire community.
He shouldn’t stir up division and contention right from the start, then act shocked and indignant when he encounters the very contention that he helped create and cultivate.
