Poll: Malmen nomination opposed

• Weekend Poll: A strong majority of Hucks Nation opposes the nomination of Boise attorney Erika Malmen as the next Idaho U.S. District Court judge. Malmen’s name has been mentioned for the position. Malmen is a little known attorney whose practice has been devoted to representing timber, mining and development interests. She’s married to top GOP operative Jeff Malmen. 103 of 173 respondents (59.54%) would oppose Malmen’s nomination. Only 21 (12.14%) support the nomination. Meanwhile, 36 (20.81%) have never heard of her and 13 (7.51%) are undecided.
